Political Commentary
The Washington Monthly

"On this site, we aim to offer the same quality political journalism that has characterized our print version since 1969"

Salon Magazine

Has more than just political commentary but (almost) all are well written and give a non-establishment view of current issues. Salon's Table Talk is the best discussion forum on the Internet, period.

The New York Observer

The New York Observer's Web Edition contains more than politics but its commentators, especially Joe Conason, provide a relief from right-wing propaganda.

BartCop

The site's subtitle says it all, "Rush Limba - Lying Nazi Whore" A collection of writings on Rush and the Right. Quite entertaining.

The American Prospect

"The aim of The American Prospect is to contribute to a renewal of America's democratic traditions by presenting a practical and convincing vision of liberal philosophy, politics, and public life."

The Nation

This is a subscription magazine so not all articles are available to non-subscribers. Still, there are many excellent articles on current issues that are available and worth reading.
