Well, yes and no. How’s that for a nonsequitur? My trackback explorati0n led to a world I did not know existed. All the major blogs are feeding search databases which are readily available for browsing. So in one way we’re connected but I doubt the connectees know it.

Par exemple, Harry Potter and the something or other just opened and lots of folks went to see it. Lots of those entered that information in their blogs. Two of those are Mike and Phil. Mike is a 9th grader from Nebraska City, NE, USA and Phil is 15 and “STILL AT SKOOL” in Stafford, England, UK. Mike is male. Phil isn’t.

Aloha! well schools been goin alright… the weeks are flyin by, its almost thanksgiving. this weekend has been alright. on friday me and edward saw harry potter lol yeah kinda nerdy but we ended up seeing alotta people we knew there so it wasnt so nerdy… and then i stayed at eddies house that night. on saturday it was chilly and i skateboarded untill it rained. then around 5 i left for council bluffs. i went to the mall of the bluffs and had applebees and had alotta fun it was good.

Well dis weekend i stayed at James’s it was relli gd! On Sat we wnt cinema 2 c Harry Potter which was quite gd bt a tad in lol then afta the movie we wnt 2 meet Kel we wnt shoppin 4 a bit then had summin 2 eat at burger king lol. Later kel wnt home so did me n james n we watched The Grudge (bt i was kinda fallin asleep) lol then we watched match of the day where man u won YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY n there goals were soooo much betta then villa’s lol. Then we wnt to bed

Another “connectee” is blogs4god (glob4dogs) which threw “Harry Potter” into an attack on Frank Rich’s NY Times Op Ed piece on the Iraq War. It links to La Shawn Barber’s Corner which has a piece on the latest Potter movie as well as links to blogs with names like “10 Christian blogs,” “Beliefnet’s blogheaven - where faith blogs go if they’re good,” “blogsforbush,” and a few others of that stripe.

Dog and LaShawn probably know they are linked but no way Mike and Phil have a clue that their teenage diaries are connected. Although Phil seems to know that others read her posts when she says, “we watched a movie n we were alll snuggled up (nuffin happened 4 all u sik minded ppl i no out there lmao!)” Mike even posts his phone number. If it’s real it’s a bad idea.

Not exactly QED but the awesome power we have to expose ourselves and opinions to the world does not mean we are really connected. This post is one of hundreds of millions that will become available today. I’ll send a trackback to Mike and Phil just to say “hi.”
